  Spring

 Turn pump and filter back on after cleaning them out
 Remove any debris which has accumulated at the bottom
 Add water hyacinth and water lettuce as soon as the danger
      of frost is gone
 Inspect pond liner or pre-formed pond insert for damage and leaks
 Check tubing for kinks or ruptures
 
  Summer

 Keep 2/3 of the surface covered with plants if pond receives a lot
      of direct sunlight
 Continue to remove organic debris from surface and clean debris       from bottom to prevent build-up
 Use Al-G-Out (barley straw) to control filamentous algae growth
 Continue to add fresh water to your pond as water evaporates
       in the hotter weather
 Time release fertilizer tablets can be added to potted plants
 
  Fall

 Keep pond clear of leaves by using a net over the water, or
      remove by hand
 Turn off the pump and remove all tubing
 Leave pond nearly full of water to allow pond to resist pressure
      from freezing and thawing
 Float empty plastic jugs on surface to help pond withstand freezing       and thawing cycles
