 CANADIAN CHRYSANTHEMUM & DAHLIA SOCIETY
Promotes the cultivation of chrysanthemums and dahlias, and develops the friendship that goes with it. General Meetings are held at the Civic Garden Centre, Lawrence Avenue East at Leslie Street, Toronto on the last Thursday of the month in January, February, March, April, May, June, August and October.  CANADIAN PEONY SOCIETY
The Canadian Peony Society (CPS) fosters the cultivation, collection and breeding of peonies, and, through educational materials and presence at horticultural events across the country, seeks to build a better understanding of the suitability of this plant for Canadian gardens. We encourage the sharing of information within our membership and beyond, and are actively involved in establishing and helping to maintain a number of public peony gardens from coast to coast. We hold one major annual show a year in one of our five regions, and publish four newsletters annually. The CPS also has a member's only root sale each fall, as well as a seed sale.

Annual membership: $15. $40 for three years, $65 for five years.

 CANADIAN ROSE SOCIETY
Canada's National Rose Society is devoted exclusively to the extension and improvement of the culture of the Queen of Flowers. Annual single membership includes a Rose Annual “The Rosarian”, a magazine, published twice a year, “The Composter”, a newsletter published five times a year to keep you up to date on rose events as they happen, as well as rose personalities and gardens.  COBOURG HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
The Cobourg Horticultural Society, aka Cobourg Garden Club, meets monthly from February to June and September to December at the IOOF Hall, 412 Victoria Street, on the northeast corner of University and Victoria. Meetings feature speakers and demonstrations, a members' photo competition and a mini show. Other club activities include a huge plant sale held annually in May, a major summer flower and vegetable show, members' garden tour and a bus tour to gardens and garden centres in other communities. The CHS also maintains some public gardens in Cobourg and participates in numerous community events.
