CFRB 1010 Question of the Week
The Garden Show: Saturday, May 3

Caller: Gwen - Brampton

I have an ornamental grass, Sedge Grass. Last year I had to replace it because it had winter kill. This year I want to cut it back. It does have some green but there is brown on the end of the leaves. Do I have to replace it again?

Sedge Grass is a good hardy plant where you are. Ornamental grasses are enormously popular. Cut them all down to about 4 inches (10 cm) or shorter. Use grass shears to do this. The plant will grow up past the brown leaves from last year.
