CFRB 1010 Question of the Week
The Garden Show: Saturday, February 9
Guest host: Denis Flanagan

Caller: Joyce - Kitchener

I received an Amaryllis bulb at Christmas time. It produced 3 beautiful flowers. What do I do with it now that it is finished flowering?

The best place it can go is in the garden once spring arrives. Amaryllis loves to be put outside in the semi-shade. Keep it in a fairly bright window for now. Cut back on the watering and fertilizing. Put it outside in the garden for the summer. Bring it back inside in September to repeat the process.
